Bright Beginnings went to $142 in Toddlers, their third rise this year, and it leaves us cheapest of the six. Matching them is +$7 a day, about $57,200 a year on a full room, and every family stays under the CCS cap.
Excellent. Let’s do it.

We’ve had four Google reviews this year. Bright Beginnings has had thirty-one. Same rating as us, ten times the noise, and it’s the first thing a parent sees.
I’d run a review push this month: one text to our longest-standing families with a one-tap link. Ten replies would more than double what we’ve got. I have drafted it.Review requestTo 42 families · one-tap linkView

Father’s Day is three weeks out and there’s nothing on our calendar. Little Peppers has been running open-day ads for it for 12 days. A dads’ breakfast on the Friday is the cheapest thing we run that actually fills tours.
A Father’s Day breakfast sounds like a great idea. Put the campaign together for me.

Food per child has crept from $4.10 a day in March to $4.80. Same menu, same children through the door, so it is price rather than portions.
At our numbers that is about $13,000 a year, and nearly all of it sits with one supplier. Here is the drift, month by month.March · $4.10September · $4.80

ComplianceWhat the regulator changed, and what it means for us.
Wednesday · 7:02amWhatsApp
ACECQA published an update overnight. It changes what a sleep and rest policy has to spell out: who checks, and how often. Every centre in SA, from 1 October.
Most policies written before 2023 say neither. I’ve written the two paragraphs the regulator is looking for, so you can hold ours up against them.

Good pickup. Send them to Meera.
Sarah, owner · 7:20am
Emailed to Meera, with the change marked up against what our policy says today. I will check it back off before October so it does not sit there.

“Every centre deserves the support of a great Area Manager. Most owners struggle to justify the cost of a full-time hire. So we built one. It’s available instantly and always on.”

Is this another dashboard I have to log into?

No. AreaManager comes to you.

When something needs your attention it messages you where you already are: SMS, WhatsApp or email. You can ask it things and it answers, but the conversation is the smallest part of it. Most of the work happens while you’re in the rooms, and nothing is sent or changed until you have approved it.

Where does what you know about my area come from?

Public sources, and a good many of them. Between them they tell us who operates around you, what they charge, how they are rated, who is advertising, and what has changed this week.

Every figure comes with the day it was read, and AreaManager shows you where it came from when it uses it. Where we haven’t got something, it says so rather than estimating.

How often do you actually look?

Weekly for most of it, fortnightly for advertising, and more often than that where it matters.

You don’t have to go looking. When something moves, AreaManager tells you the day it sees it, with what changed and what it would do about it.

Is my centre in there?

Almost certainly. Every approved service in the country is on the public register, and we read it weekly.

A centre that has only just opened can take a little while to appear. If you can’t find yours, try your suburb instead of your name, or get in touch.

Do I have to hand over my centre’s data?

Not to see your area. That works from your address alone.

Your own numbers open up the rest, because occupancy, staffing cost, arrears and your real fee position can’t be read from outside. AreaManager works with the reports your systems already produce, whether that is Xplor, OWNA, Kidsoft or something else, so you don’t replace anything and you don’t move to a new platform.

What does it do without asking me?

It watches, works things out, and drafts. It will tell you a competitor moved, price what that is worth, find who can cover a shift inside ratio, and have the letter or the message written and waiting.

It does not send any of it until you say so. Nothing reaches a family, a staff member or your systems on its own, and once you have said yes it tells you what it did.

Do you access children’s records?

No. Never.

AreaManager works on the business: occupancy, fees, rosters, families and your market. It is not built to look at children’s learning, development or personal records, and it does not ask for them.

Where does our information live?

Stored and hosted in Australia.

Access is controlled and every client’s data is kept separate. Some processing is done by Anthropic’s AI models, which is set out on our privacy page. We can go through our security and data handling in more detail if your organisation needs it.

What does it cost?

Start free. Pick your centre at the top of this page and AreaManager will go and look at the market around you, then message you what it found. No card, nothing to cancel.

The rest of it reads your own numbers, and that is where occupancy, rosters, fees and overdue accounts come in. Setup is free either way.

Pricing from there is built around your service: how many centres you run, how big they are, and which parts of the work you want AreaManager on. Contact us and we will put a price together for your business, and we will tell you well before anything changes.
